West Chevington Village
Holiday Accomodation
Construction has started with an existing planning approval for three houses to be used as holiday let accommodation in the heart of this small village. The village is located inland approximately 4 miles from the coast (Druridge Bay Country Park). The village is surrounded with open countryside. Previously the land surrounding the village was used for open cast coal mine workings and is now to be a wildlife reserve run by the Northumberland Wildlife Trust. This development will create three spacious quality four-bedroom detached houses with garden areas and associated gazebo facilities. Each of the houses will be managed as part of larger holiday home village concept for the West Chevington Village settlement, creating local employment alongside a proposed new village retail and café facility. This facility will offer on site management for the whole development. This form of sustainable development will alleviate pressures on those settlements closer to the coast by offering convenient well managed accommodation as part of the wider economy of this attractive part of Northumberland.
